The Seasons Are Turning

Yes I needed socks in bed last night, and even then I wasn't toasty - snuggly but not toasty. So today I prepared my winter bed - the winter sheets are on, the electric blanket is in place and my multiple socks are preparing themselves for duty.

My afternoon nap was definitely more comfortable with the new set up :-)

How funny to here you talk about winter setting in when we are finally through with winter and are preparing for the summer heat. It is like watching a rerun on television. =)

I am so happy to finally see the green shots peeking up in the grass and today, the window is open. I am finally able to hear birds in the morning and the dog's noses are in high gear! Spring is finally coming our way. Thanks for sending it.

You are welcome to spring - at the moment I am so looking forward to winter. Being snuggled up at night, hearing the grasss crack as you tred on the first frosts, the clear dark nights and hopefully a good storm or two (we get most of our rain during the rest of the year). And if I get really lucky and go and visit a friend, a roaring fireplace!

Apart from summer, I can find somethng fabulous about everytime of the year but I think I love the changing rituals (like a warmer bed set and fluffy socks) most of all. A celebration at the best of times :-)
