Lost Keys

I have lost my house keys.

It was either last Sunday or Monday. I don't always lock the house so I haven't been overly worried about it but I decided that today was the day to find them.... and I can't.

I reason that they must be in the house - or else I would have been locked out. Hmm, I probably shouldn't let it unsettle me - they have a reasonably big keyring - and there is about 8 in the set so they should be easy to spot .... just no idea where.

My daughter once hid my keys in the sugar bowl. It was 6 months before I found them. We don't use much sugar.
Good luck with your search.

How very embarrassing. Yes not only have I found them but apparently I have lost my mind at the same time!

When I get home I drop the keys either on the couch or the table. I have kept glancing at both of them continuously over the past few days in case they reappeared magically. I just found them sitting on the middle of the lounge cushion. Yes the actual cushion I sit next to.

How I could have missed them (when they were exactly where they were meant to be) in such a prominent place is beyond me. Did a pixie just come by and drop the there to tease me or have I lost my mind (and my sight)!!!!

Oh, well at least I know where they are :-)

Hate when that happens!
Ah Pearl, you're in good company. Reminds me of the time I "locked myself out of the house" during a severe snow storm we were having. I'd gone out to start my car, couldn't find my keys to get back in the house, had to scale our privacy fence and go in the back door (as we rarely lock that one), only to discover my housekeys in my coat pocket after I'd gotten inside the house. duh!!!

I am so glad you found your keys. I once went to lock my door as I was leaving for work and the house key was gone from the ring. I had a spare so I could keep going but afterwards, I kept searching and searching, thinking the key had to be on the foor somewhere. Then one day, headed for aerobics, I reached into my exercise bag and there was the key, smiling back at me.
I have so many lost key stories I could write a book. Universal issue, I think! Ever locked them--the whole set, cars, house office, all of them--in the trunk of your car? Now that's a real blast!

That is so annyoing when that happens! I really need to keep track of my stuff better. I misplace my keys every day, and I waste time looking for them every time I want to go somewhere.

Think that me going back into the supermarket to buy coat hangers to unlock my vehicle ( with keys sitting nicely in the ignition switch), succeeding at unlocking the door, then realising that the bloody window was open all the time - was a "bad hair day" tho all along :-){wont even go into No 1 sons losing the keys to a semi lol)
