Yes Pita I would climb or scramble for the perfect shot but in this case i was lucky - I could stand on the verandah and just peer down :-)

I have one in my front yard though not this large...do you know they are one of our oldest plants dinosaus (sp) chewed on them... quite expensive to

I did know that Miss A - mind you they don't look very tasty so no wonder the dinosaurs are extinct lol. If you are on our balcony at work and look left into the neighbors year, he has a huge cycad with a really big fruit on it. I keep watching it grow wondering if he knows what a treasure he has sitting there :-)

It is actually just one plant and it is rather large - from memory (which does fail me) cycads are slow growing and if that's the case, its potential age is astonishing :-)
