Bragging
We had a graduation at work today - and ordered pizza from one of the very popular multi-nationals. With a house full of teenagers, my pizza were still voted as better by miles than the commercial ones! Yippee :-) Home-cooked wins the pizza war - send out the press releases and let me call "makeup"! I know it sounds silly but somehow I feel a little safer in the future of the planet knowing that the younger generation still has taste and hasn't sold out completely to the capitalistic ideal :-)

Darling I need a good pizza base recipe. I finaly bought the pizza stone, and we made the recipe provided..it used yeast...but it came out about an inch thick and like white bread YUK...
I normally use wholemeal flour, and in shops I like thin base. its something I want to make more of cause if you get the topping right..it can be a quick healthy meal....needless to say all the cheeses etc we use are low fat..lol
So if u have a quick easy recipe that would be brilliant....x
YUMYUM I just ate it ALL!
MWHAHAHAHAAA
Absolutely! The boys choose our homemade pizzas over the multinationals time and time again, but they like having them occasionally so they're still 'running with the pack' so to speak.
And my homemade hamburgers also win time and time again.
Gale - you just have to role it really thin - do it on greaseproof paper, then slide a baking/biscuit tray underneath to get it from the bench to the pizza stone (and the same to get it out)

My stock standard pizza base is 1 sachet of yeast mixed with 1 C luke warm water until it starts to bubble. This is poured into 2 C (roughly) of plain flour. Mix thoroughly, knead and use.
Thanks kim and MG...I have to agree on the homemade hamburgers..One of my sons fave's cause you can just stack them how you like them...I'll give both suggestions on the pizza base a go...
Has anyone else noticed that with Halloween Anony has gotten positively witchy! ...x
