B refers to it as 'having a new bed' which is a bit how it feels when you change the bed linen. And today was a bigger and better 'new bed' than usual - it was the day to switch the flanelette winter set to the cotton summer set.
I love the immediate warmth that flanelette seems to bring to the skin as you slip in on a chilly winter night. Equally I love the crisp feel of freshly laundered cotton, especially sheets that are really purple!
Actually, I just love sleeping in my bed and it seems that the change of seasons is as good a reason as any to celebrate :-)

it is lovely getting into bed with freshly laundered sheets :)
yes tis lovely...i splurged last year and bought some 1000 count egyptian cotton sheets, and they are like sleeping on air. Mind you they cost me enough to power a small town for a month, but I purchase so few luxuries that I allowed myself this one guilt free...
i loved my grans sheets, Monday was washing day, freshly starched and smelt of 'sunshine' and always white...I still only have white sheets...
I love my bed, tis my favourite peice of furniture, like kyles i paid a small fortune for it but it will last forever...I to looked at egytian cotten, but wow the price! but after reading her comment will be on my list...
I just thought, for all our blogs and comments...its the simple things that seem to bring us pleasure, and provoke memories..mmmm
