Booking Sunday ... A Few Days Delayed

This pile is my latest haul of books (Yippee) - $90 for the lot. The pile is generally two deep around the edge but it comes to four-to-five deep towards the centre. I just don't have enough lounge room to spread them all out for one photo :-) And yes there are some bonus books in the pile lol

So, this fortnight I have got mainly cook books, with a smattering of gardening books, art books and fiction. Sigh ... life is grand :-)

I love it! I don't think I've read that particular book of Jonathan Kellerman's I see on top of your pile.

Wow, you should consider opening a used book store along side your new restaurant. One of my favorite places to shop back in Houston was Half Price Books. The store was huge and I never came out of there empty handed.

ps, I see you also have a Sue Grafton book. Somehow, I've not yet started reading her books, but full well intend to, especially since she's from the area I live in.

The Kellerman is one that has slipped through my net so I shall knock that off today :-) And I have only discovered Sue Grafton this year - and am really enjoying her books - so that one I shall read tomorrow :-)

I love your idea Deb but my problem is that I couldn't part with them lol. I have always had a dream of having a room with ceiling to floor book shelves (mind you I think I could do that about now). If I include the books in WA then I would have well over 2500 books of all sorts but even if they filled done room, I would just start another :-)

Thats a lot of books! Have you cataloged them?

They are all cataloged in my head Deb but I have to admit I am struggling to keep up with the cook books - I desperately need bookcases so I can at least sort them by subject (Chinese, vegetarian, baking etc). And I am beginning to confuse the ones I have here v the ones I have there ...

Pearl, were your ears burning early this afternoon?
Our neighborhood is having a big yard/garage sale this Saturday, & the family across the street is participating. We were over talking to them last night as they set stuff out, organizing, pricing, etc., & as they tried to unload of bunch of their stuff on us. They have a huge box of books they're getting rid of, & I said Pearl would probably love to get her hands on them.
If you wanted to pay to ship them to Aussie, you could probably get them for little of nothing. Interested??

Sure Pita - can you get a postage price for me - by ship instead or air would be most viable (knowing you have nothing else to do of course lol)? How very exciting :-)
