For the pain, suffering and hurt of these Stolen Generations, their descendants and for their families left behind, we say sorry.
To the mothers and fathers, the brothers and sisters, for the breaking up of families and communities, we say sorry.
And for the indignity and degradation thus inflicted on a proud people and a proud culture, we say sorry.

amen...what a powerful day!
If I could, I would turn back the clock to correct every injustice since the beginning of time. But I begin to get frustrated that I not only have my own actions to account for, but the actions of the generations gone before me.
I do not, by any means, condone ill treatment of anyone at anytime. But being angry at those dead and gone does nothing to help those here now. "Should things have been different?" Absolutely. But it's time we learned from our mistakes. Not mire in them.
