Oh you cynic..lol ...
I love this day and the romance it celebrates...
People seem to think its a day of 'what can I get'...but to me its a day of 'what can I give' and my mission is to notice 5 things that signify love to me this day...
So far i have 3..Bell, Chels & a rose flowering in my garden..but the day is not over yet...x
But Miss A, isn't it the challenge for all of us to do that every day, rather than this one day?
It irks me the same way that Christmas is 'all' about peace - peace should be every day.
Or for a whole lot of other celebratory days ....
I havent the energy for peace or love everyday...thats why I love to have special days...I'm 'challenged' enough as it is..I love traditions, whether they my own or other cultures...I think tomorrow will be...'no one getting me down day'...shivers I forgot, tomorrow is 'red' day...
lol Miss A, I see where you are coming from but as a cynical kinda girl at the best of times... well any excuse will do :-)
Much like birthdays, Christmas and anniversarys, they are just another day of the year to me. I only celebrated this past birthday because my girlfriends insisted. But the hubby & I don't typically do much to celebrate romance... just love one another everyday.
i don't think i have ever gotten a valentines day pressie, not my scene. Doesn't bother me that others get excited about it tho, but for moth and me it's not just a once a year affair..lol
